Lesser Known artists are all well established artists who have sculpted for years. Either due to remote habitation, lack of self-promotion, or the competitive nature of the sculpture scene, their work is sporadically supported by the establishment. They all hunger for the day their work is recognized for its true value. Below them are countless others who toil in relative obscurity as assistants, apprentices, or independent artists who sculpt productively but below the radar screen of most collectors and promoters of Shona sculpture.
