Bill Seibert, the owner, grew up in Senegal, Morocco, and Zaire during the 60's and 70's. He moved with his family to the U.S. after that, but has always had a strong connection to Africa. After finishing college, he discovered his love of Shona stone sculpture and Zimbabwean culture on a 15-country, 9-month trip around Africa in 1990. Annual, month-long buying trips to Zimbabwe, allow Bill to maintain regular contact with his artists, purchase sculptures for the gallery, and to reconnect with a place he loves. Bill is a husband and the father of two wonderful children. He is also a photographer, and all the pictures on this Website with the exception of the staff picture to the right and the Gallery photographs were taken by him. Brian Matthews discovered his love of African art on a world trip that included visits to Kenya and South Africa. |
