Personally connected with the artists in Zimbabwe since 1990, Imba Gallery has a strong desire to fairly represent Africa's most creative artistic community. Imba Gallery has fostered long-term relationships with artists from all levels of society in Zimbabwe since opening its doors on NW 23rd Avenue in Portland in the summer of 1992. Imba Gallery and Sculpture Garden is a hybrid gallery that focuses primarily on Shona stone sculpture, but also represents other arts and crafts from East, West, and Southern Africa. The stone sculptures are purchased directly from the artists, while the African crafts are bought from friends who import directly on a wholesale level from other regions of Africa.
